7 percent of students in Germany are parents. More than half of the children are four years old or younger.
For most parents, finding adequate child care is essential to their success as students. Student mothers, in particular—especially those who are single parents—rely on appropriate child care options.
As part of its social support services, the Studierendenwerk offers daycare facilities for children from birth at three locations (Amberg, Bayreuth, Coburg).
“Campus Kids” Daycare Center in Amberg
In the spring of 2014, the daycare center for the children of students at Amberg University of Applied Sciences opened.
Children up to the age of three are accepted.
