The tutors’ role is to foster a sense of community among the residents of the student housing complexes and to serve as points of contact for information, assistance, and guidance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

They can advise students\u2014to the extent that they are called upon to do so in individual cases\u2014on general academic questions and personal matters. They are always appointed by the Studierendenwerk management for one semester, after which their appointment may be extended. The work of the tutors is intended to encourage and promote independent initiative and activity among students living in the student housing complexes. <\/p>\n\n
